COVID-19 Vaccination For Workplaces

Australian Vaccine Services (AVS) are pleased to announce that we have been appointed by the Department of Health to the National Vaccine Administration Partners Program (VAPP), which allows AVS to administer Covid-19 vaccinations in workplaces.

Booster vaccinations are now available to people that are 18 years and over and had their second dose was more than six months ago.

Getting the booster vaccination has not been made mandatory by the Government, however it is highly recommended as it will strengthen your immune system and help maintain a high level of protection against serious illness from the COVID-19 virus.

Due to the varied timing that your staff would have likely had their 2nd dose, AVS are currently scheduling onsite Covid-19 booster and flu vaccinations clinics throughout the remainder of 2021 and all of 2022.

Due to the high demand for Nurse Immunisers nationally and the anticipation that most people will be eligible for their booster from January 2022, we highly recommend booking clinics early to not being able to secure dates.

Onsite Covid-19 vaccination program are being partially fund by the Federal Government, with the remaining cost of the service to be funded by organisations wishing to hold clinics at their workplace.

In limited circumstances, coadministration of flu and Covid-19 vaccinations may be possible. Please let us know if this is something you are interested in, and AVS will phone to discuss whether it is possible based on your companies’ circumstances.
